EMIR Reporting

The European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) introduced an obligation to report all derivatives to trade repositories; a cleaning obligation for eligible OTC derivatives, measures to reduce counterparty credit and operational risk for bilaterally cleaned OTC derivatives, as well as common rules for central counterparties (CCPs) and for Trade repositories.

Who is affected?

- All financial and non-financial Institutions.

- All counterparties to all derivative transactions.

What covers?

All derivative transactions – Currency, Commodity, Equity, Interest Rate, Credit – OTC and exchange traded derivatives are included.
